This is where I am and usually am

Lead of Love

Written by: Aaron Tate

Appears on: Self Titled, Guild 2, Chronicles

Lyrics:

Looking back at the road so far
The journey’s left its share of scars
mostly from leaving the narrow and straight

Looking back it is clear to me
That a man is more than the sum of his deeds
and how you’ve made good of this mess I’ve made
is a profound mystery

Looking back you know you had to bring me through
All that I was so afraid of
Though I questioned the sky, now I see why
Had to walk the rocks to see the mountain view
Looking back I see the lead of love

Looking back I can finally see (I’d rather have wisdom)
How failures bring humility (than be)
Brings me to my knees (a comfortable fool)
Helps me see my need for thee

Somehow this song since it was first released when I was in high school has always come back to me when I just don't get life. I remember the first time I heard it and basically went and bought the CD because it touched my heart. I asked a friend last night why it all has to hurt so much and they sent me the link once again to this song. I am pretty sure they don't know the full history of how often I have just listened to this song over and over again because there isn't another song that quite fits my life like this one.
